Consideration and Preparation for Learning Online
If you are considering the online learning option for GED preparation or if you are currently enrolled at an adult education program that offers the GED-i, we would like to provide you with a sneak peek of what online GED classes look like and how they work.
The GED-i Online orientation can help you discover if your intentions and skills for learning online match your potential. The online tour introduces several effective tools and exercises to guide you in preparing for learning online. It can also help you to recognize whether this style of learning is realistic and practical. Remember, not everyone who wants to learn online is a good candidate. After completing the orientation, you will be able to make an informed decision. The online orientation can help you evaluate whether learning and preparing for the GED in an online environment is a good fit for you.
Navigating the GED-i Online Orientation
The online orientation is categorized into four sections that are visible on the navigation bar at the top of each page. Make sure to revisit the navigation bar at the top of each page and at the end of each section to continue through the entire orientation session. You may skip around using the navigation bar if you like, but to benefit from all that the orientation has to offer, we suggest completing the orientation in the order listed. When you have gone through all four sections in the navigation bar – Introduction, Online Success, Requirements, and Student Center -- you will have finished. At the end of each section you will have the option to look for Adult Education providers in your area.
